This whole home remodel in Coal Creek Canyon outside of Golden, Colorado had lots of history. The homeowner (and project contractor’s) father had built the house himself. As the next generation was ready to move into this home, they wanted to remodel the space to function for the way we currently live in our home. We honored the history of the home while bringing it into the modern era with a large, open kitchen, colorful mudspace, functional laundry room and updated primary bath.

This project features a custom island from Woodland Cabinetry with a rustic, green finish. We mixed high and low, bringing more affordable Legend cabinetry in where we could to help keep costs down.

It was an honor to be a part of transforming this family home for future generations!
