This primary bathroom in Broomfield’s Aspen Creek neighborhood had all the hallmarks of the late 1990s and early 2000s bathroom trends: A large built-in tub, a small phone-booth like shower stall, large enough vanities that lacked efficient storage and the same tile everywhere you look. We removed the corner tub to make space for a larger shower, allowing a freestanding tub to sit pretty under the bathroom windows. Relocating the dueling vanities allowed for a custom built-in storage solution and eliminated the infinity mirror effect that comes with back to back vanities.
We selected a mixture of warm and cool finishes to help keep this space feeling fresh for years to come and played with shapes to add interest and contrast to the formerly “all one tile” space.
